All illusions have left the harbor and I too must now set sail in search of madness, in hope that finding it will reawaken the wonder of youth.

California

California is the eighth largest economy in the world. It is home to vast amounts of open space, lush forests, the highest and lowest elevations in the contiguous United States, gang violence, the pornographic industry, Hollywood, high value crops, homeless veterans, marijuana, and day laborers. It is apparently the build up of all Western society desired to achieve. A build up which resulted in a rupture that spewed out asphalt and concrete into the reaches of the deserts, beaches, and forests. But unlike the magma streaming out of a Hawaiian volcano creating something beautiful it is a stream of destruction constantly turning over on itself. It is not a marvelous place but it is a place where one can truly marvel.
